Mr. Bowling Ball® - Thuja occidentalis ‘Bobazam’

IT’S A WINNER!

Unique not only for its unusual name, this slow growing globe arborvitae wins a perfect score for form!  It naturally forms a perfect ball that does not require pruning or shearing to maintain its compact, round shape.

Mr. Bowling Ball® is also distinguished by its unique, finely textured, sage-green foliage.  It varies dramatically from the more common arborvitae in appearance as its needles are almost feathery in appearance, similar to a Chamaecyparis.

An excellent choice for a low maintenance landscape, Mr. Bowling Ball® is so versatile it can be used in borders, rock gardens, foundation plantings, highlighted as a specimen or grown as a low hedge.

Growing slowly to an approximate height and spread of only 2 ½ feet, Mr. Bowling Ball® prefers a sunny or partially shaded location.  Like most arborvitae’s it will grow in a wide range of soil types, preferring a pH of 6.0 to 7.5.
